Many dog owners struggle to set boundaries for their dog, often out of fear of being too strict. But if you don’t say no, your dog automatically takes that to mean yes. Dogs need clear guidance to feel safe.

A no isn’t punishment – it’s reliability. It shows your dog: “I take responsibility and offer you alternatives.” When boundaries are lacking, the dog has to decide for itself – and this often leads to uncertainty or unwanted behaviours.

Clarity creates calm. And when you learn to use your no correctly, a yes in daily life becomes even stronger.
